Yes, as long as at least one of you either live in the parish or have a qualifying connection to St Peter’s Church.
Banns of marriage are a legal requirement for a church wedding. They are an announcement of your intention to marry, read out in church on three Sundays before your wedding. This allows anyone to raise any legal objections, though this is very rare.
Absolutely! You can choose hymns, Bible readings, and prayers that are meaningful to you. We can also arrange for the organist to play your favourite music or discuss other musical options.
If either of you has been married before and divorced, it may still be possible to have a church wedding. We recommend speaking with the vicar, who will discuss your situation with care and compassion.
It’s best to book as early as possible, ideally at least six months in advance, to allow time for legal requirements and planning. However, we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.
