Knit & Natter
St Peters Church
Fancy a natter?
Join Us for Tea, Chat, and (Maybe) Some Knitting! Looking for a friendly place to chat, relax, and enjoy a warm cup of tea? Then we’ve got just the thing for you! Every last Thursday of the month, between 2pm and 4pm, St Peter’s Church provides the perfect excuse for a get-together, a catch-up, and a good old-fashioned natter. It’s a time to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy a couple of hours in good company.
If you’re a keen knitter, feel free to bring your wool and needles along! Whether you’re working on a new project or just love the rhythm of knitting while chatting, you’ll find like-minded friends happy to share tips, patterns, and inspiration.
But what if you don’t knit – or don’t know how? No problem at all! Knitting is completely optional, and this gathering is really about bringing people together. If you’d like to learn, there’s always someone happy to show you the ropes. We have extra wool and needles available, so don’t worry about supplies – just bring yourself and a willingness to give it a go!
We know that joining a new group can feel a little daunting, but rest assured, you’ll receive a warm and friendly welcome from the moment you arrive. Within minutes, you’ll feel like you’re among old friends, sharing stories, laughter, and conversation over tea and biscuits.
Why not come along?
No booking is required
There’s no need to book—just come along to St Peter’s Church, Riverside, and you’ll find us in the lounge of our Parish Centre, right next to the church.
If you’d like to chat with someone before coming along, feel free to contact Carol McCarthy on 01727 760772 or Revd Tom Smith on 01727 370569—they’d be happy to say hello and answer any questions you might have.
We look forward to seeing you soon—whether for a chat, a cuppa, a few stitches, or just a friendly face!
