Fancy a natter? Then we’ve got the perfect event for you!
Every last Thursday in the month, between 2pm and 4pm, St Peter’s provides the very best excuse for a get-together, a cup of tea and a good old natter. And if you knit, then you can bring your wool and needles along too.
But what if you don’t knit – or can’t? Well, that’s no problem as it’s not compulsory. The time is more about getting to know people or catching up with what is going on with people you do know. Novice knitters are welcome and there’s always someone who is happy to show you how to get started, if you fancy getting creative with some wool. Extra wool and needles are easily found so don’t worry about equipment or supplies.
There’s always a friendly welcome and although we know that sometimes it’s hard to join a new group, there’s no need to feel apprehensive or nervous. Give it ten minutes and you’ll start to feel like you’re spending time with old friends. There’s no need to book – just come along to St Peter’s Church, Riverside and you’ll see that everything you’ll need is in the lounge in our Parish centre, right next to the the church.
If you’d rather have a chat with someone first, you can speak to Carol McCarthy on 01727 760772 who will be happy to say hello and answer any questions that you may have.
